what is a batting cage?
A batting cage is a rectangular tunnel used for baseball and softball batting practice. The tunnel is completely enclosed in netting so it’s suitable for use indoors.
Our batting cage is inflatable and portable, so we can set it up indoors or outdoors. Forget the bouncy castle, you need a batting cage at your next party.
who is running the show?
The Pop Up Batting Cage is a new venture by Laura Howarth. I’m a freelance writer and softball enthusiast. The cage is a way for me to get out from behind the screen and give back to a sport that has given me so much. It hasn’t been an easy journey. And I’m sure there will be challenges ahead, but I’m excited that I can finally share this with the world.
The batting cage is based in Manchester, which makes us well placed to head down to London or up to Scotland. While the first year of running will focus on Manchester and the Northwest, we hope to have the cage available all over the country very soon.
